WHITE OAK

White Oak has a light brown heartwood and slightly paler sapwood. It is a light to medium brown, commonly with an olive cast. The tight grain is straight, with a coarse, uneven texture. White Oak is strong, rot-resistant, durable, and beautiful. Kiln-dried White Oak is one of the best rated hardwoods for bending and highlights the natural curves in hand-carved furniture.

TEAK WOOD

Raw Teak wood tends to be a tawny golden or medium brown, with color darkening with age giving it a regal, aged look. The grain is straight, though it can occasionally be wavy or interlocked. Coarse, uneven texture and moderate to low natural luster. Raw, unfinished wood surfaces have a slightly oily or greasy feel due to natural oils. The kiln-dried process used increases the stability and hardness of Teak wood.

WHITE ASH

White Ash is a light to medium brown color. The lustrous look of White Ash is well appreciated, as well as the wood’s typical straight grain pattern that is similar to oak. It has a coarse texture and an inviting colour, which is usually a creamy white to yellowish sapwood, and a light to medium brown heartwood. The sapwood can be very wide, and tends to be a beige or light brown; not always clearly or sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Kiln-dried Ash wood is unmatched but comparable to oak wood.

Monkeypod (Chamchuri) wood color tends to be a golden to dark brown, sometimes with darker streaks. Sapwood is usually thin and yellow/white, clearly demarcated from the heartwood. Monkeypod is sometimes seen with highly figured curly or wild grain patterns. The grain is usually straight, but can also be interlocked or wavy thus a richly grained wood. Texture is medium to coarse, with medium to large open pores and a moderate natural luster. Kiln-dried Monkeypod wood is a beautiful wood that is very similar to figured black walnut.
